were all different

Victimized as a child to
His peers he was the joke
Instant laughter upon his
Sighting as if he was a walking
Hoax

Shorter strides when he walks
Tweet like tone as he talks,
a wealthy mind to support
His expensive thoughts, A
Lesson he'd learn in which being
Different came with a cost

His attire was out of date
So he looked of awkward taste,
One in which gave a stench and
Built assumptions of his spoiled
State

His appearance made fools of
Those who'd seek, convincing
There minds that his family
Was financially weak

His priorities were colorful
Never thrilled by a brand,
Lacking interest in the finer
Things plain and simple
Was his daily plan

Rumors spill of a freak
That lives near, proving
Ignorance grows like a fungus
Upon fear

Exaggerating statements such
As he was known to fly, others
Claim they seen rainbow lighting
Flee from his hand and shoot
Across the sky

Mutant like behavior in which
Was never seen, a lie that stands
Strong as if they said grass is
Always green

Being different is a blessing
Don't mistake it for a curse,
If your one who's seen as an
Outcast acknowledge you was
Born with a greater worth

Were all different
